Update: Koos has been busy!

It’s been a while since our last post, so I took some time to write an update.

What we’ve been working on:

  • Jules has been in Melbourne for four weeks already. He is working on a big innovation project for Sensis in collaboration with our partner office Mext. He is looking how the white and yellow pages can help their customers find information in such a way that it fits their needs better. And this means a lot of interviews and focus groups, so he is pretty busy.
  • In the time he has left, Jules is also working on a project for Innopay, an innovative payment consultant. It’s a project that is concerned with the development of payment systems for plug-in electric cars.
  • In Amsterdam RJ is in the final phase of the project at the Amsterdam Historical Museum. In short: in a multidisciplinary team we have designed an interactive installation, that will merge offline and online in the upcoming exhibition. ‘A’dam, men and fasion’. As we speak the programmers from Apollo Media are programming our interface and the hardware is being build, or is already ordered / finished. The opening of the exhibition is October 1st, so if you’re interested in what we did? Give us a buzz!
  • For SYOU, a new sneaker concept – for whom we have been working on a new retail concept, we have placed our orders today and delivery will start in 3 weeks. Once the new retail concept has been introduced, we will dedicate a blog post to it here.
  • Last week we started on a new project for a startup. We’re not allowed to say much, but the coming 2 months we will do a consumer research project, followed by a strategy phase. From there on, we will try to build a prototype as soon as possible and just get it out there to get some feedback and start improving.
  • We are also still working on SaveGuards, a concept where you can start a savings plan in solid gold. Together with the company that will start building the software, we are making the last adjustments to the functional design.
  • Together with Zilver, we are working on a SME tool that allows businesses to explore the potential of branding, innovation and design. The tool is still in development, but testing will start this October.
  • Koos subscribed to the next Design Management Network event, ‘Emotional innovation’ and also to a ‘Masterclass Service Design’, to make sure we stay in tune with all latest developments.

So where we expected a quiet summer, it’s been really busy. And we’ve also had a lot of new business meetings, so expect a lot of new project the coming months! We will keep you up to date via our blog!

Cheers!
