The 1st of March 2011, this sunny Tuesday was the day I started as the first graduation intern of Koos. My name is Paul van Deelen, and I will be part of Koos until the summer of 2011. I have a Bachelor in Industrial Design Engineering and am currently graduating for my Master Strategic Product Design from TU Delft, just like Jules and Robbert-Jan have done. Koos asked me to develop a tool which can be used by Koos, to help SMEs get the most out of their innovation process. Since I just started this crusade of innovation, SMEs and tools, I can’t give you more information about this interesting project. However I can promise you this; in the summer of 2011 Koos will have the tool(s) necessary to give SMEs even better advice in the field of innovation, branding and design!

During this intensive period Koos and its partners will mentor me in this exciting project. Also three wise men from the south (my chair and mentor form the Delft University of Technology and Erik Roscam Abbing of Zilver innovation) are involved in this project, and will give advice when needed.

Luckily Koos has given me the weekends off, so I can enrich myself with insights I gain while riding my racing bike or drinking wine with friends.
