What an inspirational weekend at the Service Jam Amsterdam!

Last weekend, about 120 Jams in different cities around the globe took place, all working to improve the world in just 48 hours.

A perfect review description as written in the Global Service Jam website:

"It is quite amazing what can happen in three Earth rotations - strangers become friends, ideas become tangible prototypes and work becomes fun "

The Koos Team couldn’t agree less,  as we were part of a great diverse team of talented people and experienced this great initiative ourselves at the Amsterdam Service Jam, a satelite event of the Global Service Jam.

The Global Service Jam is a non-profit volunteer activity organized by an informal network of service design afficinados, who all share a common passion for growing the field of service design and customer experience. The Jam has a staff of none and a budget of nearly nothing.

It all started on last Friday evening where we all celebrated the end of the week and the start of the fun! The Jam was opened with the Global Video of this years theme and we formed the teams.

On Saturday everything was about sharing and finding the best idea. We went out and talked with people in Amsterdam, from there we looked for new opportunities and finally chose the best concept.

And last but not least, on Sunday it was all about finalizing… We shared the prototype with others and let them interact with the service. Pitched to the crowd and gave each other feedback.

See below more information on the inspiring services that were born this weekend at the Service Jam Amsterdam:

    Lifting Lives

    Helping refugees realize their dream

A platform to personally connect small neighborhood initiatives with people who would like to donate.

    Crowd Whishing

The Fastest Way to Complete your Bucket List

Crowd Whishing enables people to find purposes in live by helping each other making their dreams actionable and fulfill their whishes together.

    Masters of Disaster

How to act in a disaster (calamity) by using a community before calling 112/911

The insights we got is that people have no experience when a disaster happens, since they have never suffered one. We wanted to empower people to check first if a happening is actually a disaster/calamity by checking with an already created community.

    Thump

Disrupt Music: Everyone can be musician!
Have you ever think about playing music? Why did you gave up?
Too much time to master? No talent? No friend?

We can change the perception so that everyone can be musician!
